Definition

An Incoterms 2020 rule placing maximum obligation on the seller, who delivers the goods cleared for import at the named destination and pays all costs including import duties and taxes. Risk transfers to the buyer only on arrival at the destination, ready for unloading. For South African imports under DDP the foreign seller is responsible for SARS duties and import VAT, which can be administratively difficult for a non-resident.
