1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage. They help the site work, remember your choices, and let us measure traffic. We do not serve advertising and do not use advertising cookies.
2. The categories we use
- Strictly necessary — needed for the site to function, including sign-in/session. These cannot be switched off.
- Functional — remember preferences such as recently viewed items and your cookie choice.
- Analytics — Google Analytics (GA4), plus our own first-party traffic count, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Our own count stores a random number and never shares it with anyone else.
We do not serve third-party advertising on this site and therefore set no advertising cookies.

4. Managing your consent
When you first visit, our banner lets you choose "Essential only" or "Accept all". Strictly necessary cookies always run because the site cannot work without them; analytics cookies are non-essential. Choosing "Essential only" stops the tc_vid returning-visitor cookie from being set and deletes it if it already exists — we then only count your current visit, and cannot tell that you have been here before. You can clear the tc_cookie_consent value (or clear site data) in your browser to see the banner again and change your choice. You can also control cookies in your browser settings.
