Following a shipping container's journey in near real time using the carrier's tracking events, vessel AIS positions and port system updates. A typical track shows gate-in at origin, loading, vessel departures and transhipments, arrival, discharge and gate-out. For South African importers it answers the questions that matter daily: has it shipped, when does it actually arrive in Durban or Cape Town, and is it stuck in the port stack accruing storage.
