Is the invoice generator free?
Yes. Every signed-in Trade Caravan account can generate 5 invoices or quotations per calendar month at no cost. Pro and Pro+ plans have no monthly limit. Editing or re-downloading a document you already created never counts against the limit.
What must a South African tax invoice contain?
For a valid tax invoice over R5 000, SARS requires the words “tax invoice”, the supplier’s name, address and VAT registration number, the recipient’s details, an invoice number and date, a description and quantity of the goods or services, and the VAT amount or a statement that VAT is included. This generator includes dedicated fields for all of these — fill in your VAT number in your company profile.
