Definition
The most widely used delivery-performance measure: the percentage of orders delivered on the promised date AND with the complete quantity ordered. An order that arrives a day late, or arrives on time but short-shipped, fails. Major South African retailers monitor supplier OTIF closely and some levy penalties for misses, so importers must build port delays and clearance time into their promised dates.
