Account & Privacy

Manage your profile, export your data, delete your account — and how POPIA is handled.

Your Realview settings are where you manage your profile, your notification choices and your data. Realview is built to South Africa's POPIA privacy rules, giving you control over your personal information.

Your profile

In Settings you can update your name, company and WhatsApp number. Your email is your identity (it comes from your Trade Caravan account) so it is shown but not edited here.

Notifications and consent

The same Settings screen holds your alert channels and your marketing-email choice. Your consent choices are logged, so there is a record of what you opted in to and when.

Security

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is required on every account — you set up an authenticator app the first time you sign in, and enter a 6-digit code on each sign-in thereafter. There is a Security page that shows your recent sign-ins (with the IP address each came from), plus password and 2FA changes, so you and our support staff can see what happened on your account. Your data rights (POPIA)

  • Download my data — export a copy of your personal data as a file, on demand.
  • Delete my account — request deletion; you confirm via an emailed link, then your account is anonymised and closed.
Financial records are kept for five years. When you delete your account we remove your personal data, but billing and payment records are retained as long as SARS requires before they too are cleared.
Realview is built to POPIA: a registered Information Officer, a consent log, and on-demand data export and account deletion. You stay in control of your personal data and can take a copy or close your account whenever you want.
