Alerts & Notifications

Be told about slipped ETAs, long port stays, and arrivals by email or WhatsApp.

Alerts let Real-View reach out to you when something on a shipment changes, so you do not have to watch the dashboard. You choose which channels you want in your settings.

What Real-View alerts you about

  • ETA change — when our estimated arrival drifts meaningfully from the carrier's date (a couple of days or more).
  • Dwell warning — when a container has been sitting at port longer than expected.
  • Arrival — when a shipment reaches its destination port.

Channels

  • Email — available on every plan.
  • WhatsApp — available on paid plans, and you need to add and verify a WhatsApp number first.

Turning alerts on

  1. Open Settings in Real-View.
  2. Under notifications, tick the channels you want.
  3. For WhatsApp, add your WhatsApp number in your profile and confirm it.
  4. Save. New alerts then follow the channels you chose.
WhatsApp delivery is being switched on as the messaging service is connected. If the WhatsApp option is greyed out or messages have not started yet, that channel is still being enabled — email alerts work in the meantime.
Not getting an alert you expected? Check the channel is ticked in Settings and, for WhatsApp, that your number is verified. More in Troubleshooting.
